Linda
Pinsky
May 8, 1961-May 7, 1985
Born in Brooklyn, Linda grew up in Long Beach and
Woodmere, New York, where she attended the Hebrew Academy of Long
Beach and Hillel High School.
After graduation from Hillel in 1978, Linda spent
a year at Michlala-Jerusalem College and then attended Barnard from
which she graduated in 1982 with a degree in computer science. She
then secured a position in the computer department of AT&T.
Judaism pervaded Lindas life and was demonstrated
by her serious committment, sincere love and devotion to her religion
and to her beloved land of Israel.
Linda touched many lives. Her special love of children
was evidenced by her work as a counselor in summer camp and as a
youth leader in her synagogue. She was a most beloved daughter and
granddaughter and was devoted to her younger sister and brother.
Linda loved people and people loved Linda. She had
a wide circle of friends who knew her to be loyal and dependable.
When she succumbed to leukemia after an illness of five months,
Lindas friends, together with her rabbi, family and parents,
sought an appropriate living memorial to her.
