Ellen Yaroshefsky
Ethics in the Interviewing of Witnesses

Professor Yaroshefsky is Clinical Professor of Law and the Executive Director of the Jacob Burns Ethics Center at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York.

Prior to joining Cardozo Law School in 1988, she was a criminal defense lawyer in Seattle, Washington, an attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights in New York, and in private practice concentrating incriminal defense.

Ms.Yaroshefsky is chair of the Ethics Committee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the ethics advisor for the Prosecutorial and Judicial Complaint Center of the New York Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, cochair of the American Bar Association’s Ethics, Gideon and Professionalism Committee, amember of the advisory board of the Justice Center of the New York County Lawyers Association and of New York State Bar Association Committee on Standards of Attorney Conduct, and has served on various committees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She has received a number of awards for litigation and received the New York State Bar Association award for “Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Criminal Law Education”.

Charles Harary

Charles Harary is the Vice President and Legal Counsel of RexCorp Realty LLC, a multi-billion dollar real estate Company based in LongI sland, New York. Prior to joining RexCorp, he served with distinction as an associate in two prestigious law firms, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Davis Polk & Wardwell. Charles graduated Columbia Law School as a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.

In addition to his profes-sional accomplishments, Charles is an active volunteer in a plethora of community organizations, most notably, the Orthodox Union. At the Orthodox Union, he is on the Board of Directors and Executive Board and is the Founding Chairman of the Young Leadership Cabinet. Charles Harary is also Chairman of Long Island NCSY.
